After the LOSC store, Sean and I went home to chill. We played badminton with Gab for a little while. Around 5:00PM Caroline brought Sean and I to Grandpere and Mamy's apartment.
Once I got there my mind flooded with memories. For me it was kind of emotional since I had missed out on a lot things ever since my last time in France. I remembered the window with the horse track and the little soaps Grandpere used to give me everytime I was there.
I also remembered the little cabinet with the toys inside it and the beds I used to sleep in. There was also the computer room where I played ping-pong on the OLD computer and the large yard in the back where I used to kick a soccer ball and where once I had kicked it (or somebody had kicked it) over into somebody's balcony. It just brought back a lot of good memories. After about an hour, Caro came back with Gab from the dentist to come get us. We said our good-byes and on the way out I remembered the little vanilla waffles I loved so much. Because I remembered those, Caroline took us to the local store to get some! While we were at the stop light we saw Marine, Fred's oldest daughter, crossing the street. Caroline honked and said "Hi, how are you? Martin is with us. He is in town!" She gave a little nod and just kept walking. Later at dinner around 8:00PM we talked about it and wondered if maybe she thought we said something about her boyfriend Martin. Who knows?
After dinner we left for InQuest since Christophe had reserved for us to go to. It is, overall, a larger playscape for adults that pushes them to their physical and mental limits and they must get to the end with the most points. There are 4 "worlds" you must pass through to get to the end.
Here is the website if you want to see it. It explains each "world" real quickly.
www.inquest.fr
You are on teams while you go on through the worlds so the teams were me, Sean, & Margaux and then Christophe, Rose, & Gab. Unfortunently my team lost since we didn't answer the last question. So the first thing you do when you go is you change into these jump suits and put on these sort of hiking/rock climbing shoes that they have for you to use.
Once you're ready they give you these wrist watches that are used to scan at each location so that the little videos know when the entire team is present. So the first video told us how the world is getting worse and worse and if we didn't complete our "missions" today then the world would be destroyed forever. Once the video ended, we were let loose. Each person had 2 little symbols to remember. Mine was a spiral and an dotted arrow pointing northeast. I found mine and Sean and Margaux found there symbols. While you are running around in this large room (sorta of a lasertag room) you are looking for your symbol on these boards above your head until you find the right one. Once you have found it, you run to the location and read this little paper. It's a large maze so you can get lost quite easly. Each paper has a code so once each person is done they should have 4 numbers total. My number was 38 & 21. So once the team was done (8 minutes max) we climb this latter to get to this little area where we scan our watches and each person types in the numbers. Thankfully we all got them correct so we got the video, and the word "film".
The next objective was to go into this large playscape thing almost exactly like Chuck-E-Cheese, except large enough for adults to get in and out. In each little playscape there were about 5 or 6 places to scan your watch. We had a total of 13 minutes to do this "world". The point of this place was to get as many scans as you could find. After the scans we did the same thing as the last place, we ran up a latter, scanned our watches and watched a video, and got another word(s), "petit budget".
The next "world" we had to answer as many questions as we could in a certain amount of time. There were different catagories so we chose the simple ones like "Euro 2008" and "English translations". The questions went by pretty quickly. We got another word at the end, "vedette".
Our next and final "world" was the intense one. We were about 30-40 feet in the air connected to these harnesses. We had to walk on little bridges and ropes suspended in the air and get to these little platforms where we got our clue. Ours was the letter "A". There were multiple suspensions to go on. The scariest one I had done was one where all you had were tiny little blocks to step on about 4 feet apart from one another. And all you had to hold on to were little ropes suspended above your head. On one of them I slipped and I rotated all the way around until I ended back straight on the block. My heart stopped for that period of time where if I had let go I would of relied on my harness. After the shock, I was back on track. The second scariest suspension was a net like tube that was only suspended from the top. You had to crawl through it to get to the other side. The only problem was you could clearly see the ground below and every move you took it felt as if the netting was either going to rip apart or the entire tube was going to fall. I'm not even exagerating. But none the less, it was lots of fun and very thrilling. We finally made it to the end and slid down the slide to the end. At the end we had to put all the clues we had gotten, put them together, and think of something that intertwined with each one. So our words were:
1) film
2) petit budget
3) vedette
4) A
and we were given this:
----- -
Only those spaces. We had no idea what it was. At the end we found out that the answer was SERIE B. I have no idea what that is but it was a fun adventure.
After InQuest we sent home, showered, and everyone just crashed since we had too much fun today. Tomorrow is my last day in Lille before Londres (London). I'm definently going to miss the family but I will see them again before I leave in August. Tomorrow we are planning on seeing la maision de Londas. It's the place where I lived when I was younger. It should bring back some good memories!

Thank you for the pictures and the little movie! It was like being there, weird... Enjoy your next trip, England!
We love you,
Maman and Matthew
JUST TO LET YOU ALL KNOW! THERE'S MORE PICTURE AND NEW LITTLE VIDEOS ON THE PREVIOUS POSTS!
You are doing an awesome job with the pics. I love to see the family. And, Gab is getting so big! Amazing.
I also loved the video. I thought that you were going to walk in on someone in the toilet. I was saying, "No. Martin. The door is closed. Who knows who is in there?"
And, it is always good to see Grandpere and Mamy. We miss everyone (including you!).
I loved seeing everyone! I almost felt like I was there.
Love the tour of Mamy and Grandpere's house too. I burst out laughing when you opened the door of the toilet and then quickly closed it. He he.
Love you, bro!!
