Back in Paris

So I had a stressful night/morning.

After talking with Jenny & Kevin, I decided it was late so I went to my room to go finish packing and get to bed. Once I had finished packing I checked if I had the tickets in my backpack. At dinner that night, I told Françoise that the train to Paris was leaving at 11:58AM. Fortunently, when I checked the tickets right before bed, I read that the train was actually at 9:43AM! So since I didn't have an alarm and Sean unfortunently didn't have his cell phone (which he uses as an alarm), I decided to stay up the entire night so at 8:00AM I would be able to tell Françoise and also wake up Sean. At around 5:00AM I was searching on my iPod and saw that I could set an alarm to go off and the alarm would still make a noise if the iPod was in sleep mode. I set 3 alarms on my iPod so I was sure to wake up at 8:00AM in case I didn't wake up to the previous ones. Right before bed, I put my sound to full blast so that I would wake up to the music.

Right at 8:00AM, I jumped out of my bed and ran down the stairs to go tell Françoise that are train left at 9:43AM. She woke up Mathieu since he was taking us to the station. Sean and I got ready and brought our stuff downstairs right away. I had said my good-byes to Marc the night before since he left early this morning for work. I said good-bye to Géraldine and Françoise and I thanked her so much for everything she had done.

Mathieu had dropped us off and I waited for the train. Once I got in the train, I slept the entire way since I was exhausted. Once we arrived to Paris, Sean and I too the metro to Clarisse's work since she had the key. Sean stayed in the metro station with the bags since we didn't want to have to take the bags everywhere. I found Clarisse's work but unfortunently she had just left for lunch. I called her and she ran over from the market to hand me the key.

I rejoined Sean at the station and we headed for Clarisse's apartment. Once we had everything into the room and we had relaxed a little, and then Sean and I left for Champs Elyées. We looked at stores and thought about what we could do tomorrow. We decided on going to the top of l'Arc de Triomphe. After Champs Elyées, we went home and met up with Clarisse and ate dinner. Now Sean and I are going to go get Matrix 3 since we have watched the first 2 so far...in English.

Well, I guess it really pays to check the times on those tickets more than once!

Lucky you did!

But, maybe it would have been to hitchhike to Paris.

You are freaking me out!... Wrong hour for the train, then no sleep... You seem to find ways to fix your mistakes, aren't you all grown up!! And a mess too... Make sure you double check Sean's plane date and hour, and yours too... And set up ten alarms clocks!!
One cool thing to do in Paris is to do a tour on the Seine: you see pretty sites, and the tour guide speaks in English too (you catch the "bateau-mouche" next to the Eiffel Tower... by the WATER!!). Big hugs to Sean, Clarisse and you...

Oh my goodness! Sounds like a crazy night/morning! I am glad you checked the tickets before heading to bed. And, you made it into Paris like pros, that's awesome!

Have fun in Paris for Sean's last days in France! I second what Mom said: the Seine tour is a fantastic way to see the whole city and learn all kinds of neat stuff.

Love you, bro!
